  1. CRONTAB USER ACCESS CONFIGURATION

  3. cron has built in security features allowing it to control which users
  4. are allowed to execute cron jobs. There are five possible user access
  5. states:
  6.  
  7.  Only root is allowed to execute cron jobs
  8.  
  9.  Only selected users are allowed to execute cron jobs
  10.  
  11.  All users are allowed to execute cron jobs
  12.  
  13.  All users except specified users are allowed to execute cron jobs
  14.  
  15.  No users are allowed to execute cron jobs
  16.  
  17. You can use this window to display the cron security status of all
  18. hosts.
  19.  
  20. Hostnames field
  21.  
  22. If you want to limit this modification to specific hostnames within a
  23. pool, enter those hostnames in this field. If you are using multiple
  24. entries, leave a blank between each entry. You can also use the arrow
  25. button to the right to select the available hosts from the current
  26. pool.

  28. User Access option

  30. Use this set of toggles to specify what type of user cron access you
  31. want to allow.

  33. User Names field
  34.  
  35. If you want this modification to allow or exclude (deny) specific
  36. users, enter the user name(s) in this field. If you are using multiple
  37. entries, leave a blank between each entry. You can also use the arrow
  38. button to the right to select from a pick list of the users.
